It has been a while since my last post so here it goes.  We made it through Christmas season and are entering Birthday Season with mine on the 15th (34-yikes!) and Ashley’s on the 27th (8).  I must be crazy or stupid because I am hosting a sleepover for Ashley’s party with approximately 7 other 6-9 year olds.  Let’s hope the house is still standing when all is said and done   We have had some very cold weather but no snow yet which is disappointing.  I have all the snow gear down and only had to get 1 pair of new boots this year.  The girls are desperate for some snow to play in (as is John).  I have to admit that I enjoy sledding as well.  Ashley is looking forward to getting her ears pierced for her birthday this year and is starting cursive in school.  She is also going to attempt the principal’s challenge which is 100 math problems in 4 minutes.  We have been working with Sydney on her sight words and she has been doing great.  She can even read some simple books which makes us so proud.  Natalie is doing so well with her talking that it is hard to remember when she only had a handful of words in her vocabulary.  Now she never stops talking and pretty much gives us a running commentary on all that is going on around her.  She is such a sweetheart and other than being not fully potty trained we don’t have many issues.  John has been working on his plane quite a bit and has received “help” from the girls.  His mother has also come over to help out.  I must be going crazy in my “old age” because I have agreed to run a half marathon in May with a friend.  I was bothered by a sore knee for about a week and a half but it is feeling better.  Now I just need to toughen up and get out there in the freezing cold- BRRRRR!!!  By the way I am on Facebook as well as John and I find it very easy to keep in touch with people that way so if you have an account, look me up as Heather Christian Trollinger and if you don’t have an account you might want to consider getting one since you would be surprised how many people are on.
